Gratuity is not included and we weren't able to tip on the card, and I had very minimal euros on me as it we were flying out not long after.** 10/5 experience!!!!! ”

“ Unforgettable Dining Experience a Highlight of Our Trip to Italy! Our dinner at Lorelei in Sorrento was, without a doubt, the best meal of our entire two-week trip through Italy. We chose the 5-course vegetarian tasting menu, and every course was a masterpiece. Everything was so refined, inventive, and full of flavor. It’s rare to find a restaurant that treats vegetarian cuisine with such creativity and respect, but Lorelei delivered something truly extraordinary. The setting alone is worth the visit. We dined during sunset, and the panoramic views over the Bay of Naples were absolutely magical! It’s the kind of moment you try to photograph, knowing it will never quite capture how stunning it really was. What made the evening even more special was the hospitality. We were invited to meet the executive chef and watch as he prepared an extra post dinner dessert and tea before our main dessert. We loved seeing his passion and attention to detail while he worked. While we enjoyed our tea, we were given a tour their beautiful wine cellar, which features a view of an ancient Roman aqueduct! It was an unexpected and fascinating glimpse into Sorrento’s deep history. Everything about Lorelei feels thoughtful and elevated, yet welcoming. This is the kind of place where every detail matters, from the plating to the pacing to the warmth of the staff. “ We got married in Sorrento and came back on our anniversary this year for a few days. We came to Lorelei on our last night, our first time here despite multiple visits to Sorrento over the years. A great start to the evening with cocktails at the La Colonna Sunset Bar, spectacular views and a glorious sunset. Then on to the restaurant where we had the tasting menu and the wine pairing. All very polished and professional, but lacking a bit of personality. If you like a bit of chat with the service team this isn’t the place, it’s very much a romantic couples destination and focus is on pure professionalism. The food was excellent, only maybe missing a hero dish on one of the courses. Issue for us was the wine pairing, really not good value at all - we are not big drinkers but each wine pairing was barely a couple of mouthfuls. The final pairing with the dessert was not even wine but a bottle of beer, really disappointing, the beer wasn’t even that nice. For the cost of the wine pairing we could have ordered 3 or 4 bottles of really good wines for the same price or less. The other issue we found was a long wait from being seated to the first course and drinks, about 45 minutes where we only had water. At least we had the views while we waited. ”

What stood out to me was the generosity of the chef — we received several complimentary small plates throughout the meal, which added to the experience and made it feel even more personal. “ In summary: WOW! The service and food was top notch! Tara made our dinner so personal and wonderful for our honeymoon. We decided to go with the tasting menu, unsure of what to expect and the wine tasting. Tara explained all of the dishes and went above and beyond. The wine was phenomenal. ”

“ What an experience! What a view! What a service! My husband booked a table for my birthday - and it was a great experience. We took a 5-course Lorelei tasting menu combined with Wine tasting. The food was really good: I loved the small compliments from chef (we even got a pre-dessert), the scampi entree, the dessert. The wine was paired with food by the sommelier - amazing new findings and local grapes. The food was definitely complimented by the wine. And the view… I even had tears of joy at some point!… Probably the highlight was the service - the staff were very polite, friendly, professional and I would even say - seamless. You wouldn’t even notice them changing the cutlery, or filling up the water. I definitely recommend this restaurant! ”
